The sculpture “Erotic” is a depiction of the tender intensity between two individuals as they become one and immerse themselves in their own common world. The marble used imparts a sense of eternity and timelessness to the work. The rectangular form, resembling the shape of a bed, reinforces the idea of intimacy and coexistence. The submerged bodies touching each other transport us to a world full of freedom, passion and love. In a mystical mood, the artwork captures the intensity and occult nature of emotions between lovers.
This sculpture is inspired by and dedicated to the artist’s partner, the pianist Athena Tsarna.
